Mr Nicholas Gormack (Nick) is a highly experienced fellowship trained orthopaedic surgeon. Nick runs a busy private practice, consulting and operating at Ormiston, and also has a public hospital appointment at Middlemore hospital, where he is heavily involved in registrar and junior doctor training and education. Nick has continued to develop his knowledge and expertise through orthopaedic research, and is committed to remaining at the cutting edge of orthopaedic surgery.
Nick specialises in lower limb arthroplasty and revision arthroplasty (joint replacement) surgery, sports and arthroscopic reconstructive surgery of the knee and hip, and adolescent and young adult hip preservation surgery. Nick is dedicated to surgical excellence, and performs muscle sparing surgery, including direct anterior, and direct superior approach hip replacement surgery, helping to ensure enhanced recovery for his patients. In 2024 he will also begin performing robotic arm assisted knee replacement surgery at Ormiston.
